A warm place to grow

Learning with wonder,
warmth & home

Born from one mama’s love for her three daughters—and the belief that every child deserves to be deeply known, gently guided, and free to remain wonderfully themselves.

A diverse group of children reading, building, creating art, making music, and exploring science together in a warm illustrated learning house

This story began at home

Before it was a learning house, it was the childhood I was building for my daughters.

It was books piled on the couch, questions that changed the whole day’s plan, garden discoveries, sisterhood, kitchen-table learning, belly laughs, big feelings, and the steady work of making home feel safe.

Homeschooling my three daughters taught me that care and education were never meant to live in separate rooms. Children bring their whole selves to learning: their tenderness, humor, movement, questions, worries, brilliance, and need to belong. The Juniper Nest is my way of extending that same warmth beyond our family—a small community where children can be curious, brave, loud, thoughtful, soft, and fully themselves.

This business is not built around rushing children toward what comes next. It is built around cherishing who they are right now.

What motherhood made clear

My daughters were my first teachers.

They showed me that the best childhood spaces do more than keep children busy. They protect wonder, make room for humanity, and help little people trust their own voices.

Children are already whole.

They are not projects to perfect or problems to solve. They deserve dignity, patience, and a voice in the life unfolding around them.

Kindness is something we practice.

It lives in repair after hard moments, comforting a friend, caring for our shared space, and learning how our choices touch other people.

Learning lives everywhere.

It is in the question asked from the back seat, the recipe at the kitchen counter, the worm in the garden, the story read one more time.

There is no prize for rushing.

We make room for children to grow at their own pace, experience success, and stop while curiosity still feels joyful.

The Juniper way

Nurtured here. Guided forward.

The strongest learning begins with relationship. We do not confuse obedience with goodness, speed with intelligence, or quiet with engagement. We meet the child first—and build from there.

01

Relationship comes first

Children learn best when they feel safe, understood, and genuinely delighted in.

02

Wonder leads the way

A child’s question is not a detour from learning. Very often, it is the beginning.

03

Childhood stays whole

Learning belongs beside movement, rest, imagination, laughter, tenderness, and play.

A day with room to breathe

Our gentle rhythm

Children thrive when they know what comes next—and when there is still space for the unexpected. Our days will follow a dependable rhythm, not a rigid clock. There will be invitations, not pressure; guidance, not control; and enough breathing room to notice what makes each child light up.

01

Gather

A gentle welcome, conversation, stories, and songs.

02

Explore

Hands-on invitations shaped by nature, art, science, and play.

03

Nourish

Shared meals, outdoor air, movement, and unhurried rest.

04

Remember

Reflection, creative expression, and a warm return home.

Andreia, founder of The Juniper Nest

Hi, I’m Andreia

A mother first—and the heart behind this house.

I am a mother of three daughters, a homeschooler, and a lifelong nurturer. Motherhood did not simply change my life; it clarified what I believe children deserve. I want them surrounded by adults who see their fire without trying to extinguish it, honor their feelings without fearing them, and guide them without asking them to become smaller.

The Juniper Nest grew from that conviction. I am creating the kind of place I wish every family could find: intimate enough for every child to be truly known, thoughtful enough for learning to have meaning, and warm enough to feel like an extension of home.

“It takes a village. I would be honored for The Juniper Nest to become part of yours.”

My promise is simple: care will never be treated as separate from learning here. It is the soil everything else grows from.

With warmth, Andreia

A place to belong

We are growing something beautiful—and deeply human.

The Juniper Nest is currently in its licensing and preparation season. Every room, rhythm, and detail is being shaped with the same intention that began this dream: children should feel safe here, families should feel held here, and childhood should feel cherished here.
